I had a vision of groups of people joining together in prayer it was not a church prayer meeting, it was a meeting of the Church to pray. The Lord spoke to me and said “These are people gathering to pray with purpose” I thought about that and then asked ‘Isn’t that what we do?’ The answer was loud and silent. Clearly it is not what we do. So I asked what we should do. Matthew 6:33 was quickened and as I pondered this I saw what essentially is so simple to seek Him first and how far our prayer meetings with our laundry list of demands have come away from that premise.

Please know I am not saying nor do I believe God is saying not to make your requests known to Him indeed that’s the way The Lord Jesus taught us to pray. This is about getting the heart of God for our city, state, country and then praying into that – Praying with purpose. Then I believe as the scripture promises us all these things that we have need of will be added unto us. Then the word Firestarter came to me and I couldn’t shake it, so we are going with it in this season.

On February 11th at 9-12 noon we are having such a gathering. It is completely non-denominational you are most welcome to come and join us. It is entirely appropriate that we have Cheryl Lindley a woman of God, passionate about her Lord and gifted in communicating that passion to others. She has that passion coursing through her as she is truly on fire with the things of God. The Holy Spirit uses her mightily around the world as a Prophet and intercessor. She is truly a Firestarter and we are privileged to have her come and impart some of that fire to us.
